I design patterns for EVA foam costumes...and other stuff... My name is Chris and I just can't stop making things. I started off as a jeweller, specializing in steampunk jewellery. In 2013 I made a pretty fun top hat out of cardboard for a jewellery display at a market, and customers were more interested in that hat than my jewellery! I decided to make a pattern so everyone could make their own amazing top hat and that's how Lost Wax was born. The thing that keeps me going is the joy I get when I hear from people who have never crafted before and they are making costumes from my patterns that turn out better than they ever thought they could achieve. They are getting noticed at cons, winning competitions, gaining confidence, and loving crafting. I really think the world would be a better place if more people were makers :)

As a professional entertainer, she has portrayed mermaids, princesses, stilt walkers, and fire dancers at events worldwide. Erin also shares her expertise through DIY tutorials at Adafruit.com, helping makers bring their own costume dreams to life. Whether performing or designing, she is passionate about pushing the boundaries of wearable art and interactive costuming.

Sara is a visionary artist and designer who founded Sara Kali in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro. Now based in NYC, her work is inspired by Saint Sara-la-Kâli, symbolizing protection and wisdom. Known for blending alchemy and artistry, Sara creates unique, glowing accessories that celebrate movement, joy, and self-expression.

Abby Arauz is a distinguished professional in the feather industry, currently serving as the owner of the Feather Place. Her extensive experience includes a tenure as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall, where she honed her appreciation for the artistry of feathers in performance and fashion. Through her leadership at the Feather Place, Abby continues to influence the use of feathers in costumes and couture, reflecting her deep commitment to this unique art form.

Bruce Lindsay is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in set design, where he worked on every aspect of bringing theatrical productions to life. His passion for costume and armor design, initially a hobby, evolved into a side business, leading him to master pattern making, sewing, leatherwork, and laser cutting. His curiosity for innovation also introduced him to electronics and coding, allowing him to merge craftsmanship with technology. This fusion ultimately led to Electric Candy Couture, where Bruce creates illuminated wearable art that blends ancient aesthetics with futuristic design.

Michelle Palmer is a New York City-based artist, aerialist, model, and mother. With a background in theater studies in NYC and alternative health education in England, she has cultivated a deep appreciation for storytelling and self-expression. Her journey has also led her through yoga and Ayurveda studies in Santa Fe before returning to New York in 2012. Immersed in the city's vibrant underground nightlife scene, Michelle continues to explore the intersection of performance, art, and personal transformation. She is the creative force behind Aviatrix NYC, where she brings her passion for wearable art to life.
